I don't know this little guy's name. A friend sent it to me for painting practice.  Thanks Helen. Painting an upside down cat was a challenge.

Knuckles cartoon figure... in progress

I'm developing cartoon images for each of The Boys.  This one is a chubby version of Knuckles.  Knuckles is much slimmer than this, and I'll work on that, but I think I have the look that I want.  I figure that I should be documenting their antics in cartoons.  So, this is where I'm starting.... I just need to decide which facial features will mean Knuckles....  More to come.

I painted Bugsy's portrait a couple of weeks ago and here's Knuckles in all his mellow glory.  He looks calm here, but he's the mastermind of many misadventures.....

Sketched this cat this morning while the rain was falling and the wind was blowing....  We're having glancing blows from Tropical Storm Andrea.... today... Not too bad right now.  But this guy looks like a cat easy to snuggle up to...

Today... Just a little sketch to bring a smile to your face.  I'm planning a series called Cats with Shades.  This guy just showed up on my sketch pad wanting a place in the line up.

Sketch: The Family of Cats

 

This one is just a rough sketch of The Family of Cats piece I'm planning to do. It'll be 18 by 24 when I finish.  Seeing this, I've decided to make it with a variety of colors and kinds of kitties...not just Bugsy's and Knuckles's.  Tomorrow I'll begin sketching out the real thing.

Gray Kitty #1

This is Gray Kitty #1... So far he's in pencil and just a sketch.  I'll try him as a regular portrait soon.  At times, it's more difficult to paint cats who are all one color than those with many.  Have to work to get the shading just right.
