This is a watercolor painting called A Lizard in the House. The other night, a lizard (about 2 inches long) slipped into the house. The boys were on it immediately, but it scampered up the walls to the ceiling. While it make the rounds of the ceiling, the boys kept an eye on it at all times. This is during one of the times that the lizard just sat there and waited for the boys to go away. They did not. I finally went to bed. They were still on duty.

This little guy almost slid right off the page while I was painting him. He was rushing for his ball and it almost got away from him.

This painting is 6" by 6" on 140-pound watercolor paper. It is part of a fundraiser For Amy.
Please visit the sight to read about Amy and why this fundraiser is so important.
The painting comes framed in a black frame with spacers to keep the painting away from the glass.
I've decided to post the paintings from the September challenge over here. Enjoy

With the holidays coming up.... yep, you heard me. It's almost August 25th, which leaves 4 months until Christmas... I thought I'd put up a little notice about my cat portraits. It'd be good to get started now.
I am thrilled to paint your cat. A 6" X 6" X 1.5" painting is $55.00 plus postage. I will also do custom sizes. Email me at Lou at LouBelcher dot com for an estimate.
All you do is provide a couple good pictures of your cat and I'll be good to go. As I want to be sure to capture the essence of your cat, be sure one of the photos shows his/her eyes. And, describe any unusual markings that might not show in the picture that you want included. Also, if you want to tell me something about your cat and his/her quirks, that helps too.
I look forward to hearing from you and look forward to getting to know your cat.
Email me at Lou at LouBelcher dot com and we'll get started on your special portrait.
